SUMMARY:Doug Tallamy Presents Nature's Best Hope
DESCRIPTION:Join LLCT for a virtual program featuring Doug Tallamy.\nRecent
headlines about global insect declines\, the impending extinction of one
million species worldwide\, and three billion fewer birds in North America
are a bleak reality check about how ineffective our current landscape des
igns have been at sustaining the plants and animals that sustain us. Such
losses are not an option if we wish to continue our current standard of li
ving on Planet Earth. The good news is that none of this is inevitable. Ta
llamy will discuss simple steps that each of us can- and must- take to rev
erse declining biodiversity and will explain why we\, ourselves\, are natu
re’s best hope.\nThe night's focus will be on how to create backyard bio
diversity in Lincoln\, connect habitats throughout Town\, and increase res
ilience against climate change. All are welcome at this free\, virtual pro
gram.  A zoom meeting link will be sent to all registered participants. R
