DESCRIPTION:In the third of LLCT's winter zooms\, Emerson Conrad-Rooney\, a
  Ph.D. candidate at Boston University will share interesting highlights fr
 om their current research.\n\nEmerson Conrad-Rooney (they/them) is a Ph.D.
  Candidate at Boston University in the Biology Department and received the
 ir BA from Wellesley College in Biological Sciences. They are interested i
 n studying how disturbances such as climate change\, urbanization\, and in
 vasive insects impact forest ecosystems in the northeastern U.S. and their
  ability to grow and store carbon. Emerson's dissertation focuses on how c
 limate change throughout the year — both warmer summers and less snowpac
 k in winter — affects forest ecosystems.\n\nThis is a free zoom and all
