SUMMARY:Mindfulness Walks in Nature on the First Tuesdays through June
DESCRIPTION:June 5th Walk Postponed. The last walk has been rescheduled to
 next Tuesday\, June 12th at 1pm at Bergen-Culver. \nSponsored with Lincol
n's Council on Aging\, join us for any or all of these walks on Tuesdays
March 6\, April 3\, May 1 and June 5 beginning at 1 pm. The experience is
about the journey and not the destination! Connect with nature through wal
king in a mindful way. Unplug\, disconnect from the world for a while and
let your senses come alive in nature.\nWalk with naturalist John Calabria
in some of Lincoln's most beautiful places.  Meeting locations will be d
etermined by trail conditions and posted to our website two weeks ahead of
each walk. Walks are organized for those who are 55+\, but all are welcom
e.\nChoose footwear and clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Walki
ng sticks or walking poles can help for stability\, if you have them.\n\nI
n case of inclement weather\, call the LLCT’s general line at 781-259-92
51 after 10AM the morning of the walk for direction.\n\nAbout John Calabri
 a. \n\nJohn is a certified Wellness Educator who teaches mindfulness yoga
and spirituality in West Concord. Years ago John left a successful engine
ering career to help people find joy in their lives\, and feel more connec
ted to this most beautiful part of the world we live in. John spends as mu
ch time as possible in nature\, including caring for 60 bluebird nest boxe
s with his friend Ray\, who is 88 years old.\n\nJohn spoke in October 2017
at the LLCT's panel on Aging in Nature that was also sponsored with Linco
ln's Council on Aging\, as well as with Newbury Court and The Commons. In
the weeks that followed\, John lead three walks on Lincoln's trails as par
t of the series. His walks were so popular that we are featuring a follow
up series this winter and spring. We hope you will join us.\n\n
