DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhite supremacy culture normalizes 
 its own experiences\, history\, narratives and environmental ideology and 
 keeps those operating out of its framework (and that can be any of us) fro
 m seeing beyond it. Mardi will take us on a journey through her life of ad
 ventures as a Black outdoorswoman who has grown in her liberation-focused 
 identity. We’ll discuss barriers marginalized people face in accessing t
 he outdoors and how exclusion\, a form of oppression\, is detrimental to a
 ll people.\n\nMardi Fuller is a hiker\, backpacker\, paddler and general o
 utdoor enthusiast.  In 2008 she completed hiking New Hampshire's 48 mount
 ains that are 4000 feet or higher\, and this January she finally completed
  hiking each of these peaks in winter.  She lives in Boston where she wor
 ks as a nonprofit communications director. Mardi is committed to personal 
 and corporate Black liberation and believes deeply in nature's healing pow
 er.  Mardi’s writing and accomplishments have appeared in Outside magaz
 ine\, the BBC\, Melanin Basecamp\, and NRDC.org.\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for this
  free series featuring speakers whose work is advancing efforts to strengt
 hen belonging and connection between communities of color and the outdoors
