SUMMARY:Cancelled on 11/20: Noticing Walk with John Calabria
DESCRIPTION:Due to rainy and snowy conditions forecasted for Tuesday\, we r
egret having to cancel yet again the November walk. The final walk of 2018
will take place on December 4. Look for this event to be updated with a c
onfirmed location closer to the walk date. We will be assessing trail cond
itions before finalizing the walk location.\n\nJoin us for this popular se
ries of gently paced noticing walks guided by John Calabria on Lincoln's c
onservation land. These walks are about the journey and not the destinatio
n! Unplug and disconnect from the world for a while and let your senses co
me alive in nature.\n\nParking: Park and meet along Sandy Pond Road near
gate posts 23 and 24 on the Trail Map of Lincoln. This is in the area nort
hwest of Flint’s Pond. We will walk onto the trail at gate post 24. Look
for LLCT signage on the day of the walk.\n\nThe series is organized for 5
5+\, but all are welcome. Choose footwear and clothing appropriate for wea
ther conditions. Walking sticks or walking poles can help for stability\,
if you have them.\n\nFor inclement weather\, call the LLCT’s general lin
e at 781-259-9251 after 10AM the morning of the walk for direction.\n\nJoh
n Calabria is a certified Wellness Educator who teaches mindfulness yoga
and spirituality in West Concord. Years ago John left a successful enginee
ring career to help people find joy in their lives\, and feel more connect
ed to this most beautiful part of the world we live in. John spends as muc
h time as possible in nature\, including caring for 60 bluebird nest boxes
with his friend Ray\, who is 88 years old.\n\nThese programs are co-spons
ored with Lincoln’s Council on Aging.\n\nPhoto taken by Bryn Gingrich at
