SUMMARY:Plants & Pollinators Walk
DESCRIPTION:Learn about the plants at the People for Pollinators meadow and
  the pollinators that are attracted to this habitat. Tom Gumbart and Robin
  Wilkerson will guide participants around the meadow and the immediate sur
 rounding area to observe the various species of plants and wildlife. An in
 formational tent will be set up with reference guides and resources.\n\nBr
 ing your binoculars to zoom in closer to insects\, birds and other wildlif
 e of interest. Bring your camera to record your observations and then uplo
 ad the information to the meadow's citizen scientist site at iNaturalist.o
 rg. Other citizen scientist sites will be discussed as well.\n\nFree. All 
 are welcome. \n\nDress for weather\, including protection from sun\, ticks
  and mosquitos\, and wear sturdy shoes. In case of inclement weather\, ca
 ll LLCT's general line at 781-259-9251 after 10 AM the morning of the walk
  for direction.\n\nParking: Park near the baseball field in the lot of the
  Smith Building\, Lincoln Schools\, Ballfield Road.\n\nMeet: Take the tra
 il at the People for Pollinators sign and meet at the pollinator meadow.\n
 \nTom Gumbart is the Conservation Director for the Town of Lincoln. Previo
 usly he served as Executive Director of the non-profit organization Land
 ’s Sake in Weston\, running an organic farm\, conducting forestry and ot
 her land management operations\, and developing educational programming. T
 om is currently the President of the Massachusetts Society of Conservation
  Professionals. Lincoln's Conservation Commission is a collaborating partn
 er in the People for Pollinators project.\n\nRobin Wilkerson is a Master G
 ardener with a specialty in native plants. She teaches for Mass. Audubon a
 nd The New England Wild Flower Society. She has been gardening in Lincoln 
 for over 30 years.\n\nThis event is co-sponsored with Lincoln’s Conserva
