SUMMARY:Special Woodcock Walk
DESCRIPTION:Norman Levey\, Lincoln resident and local naturalist\, will lea
 d this special walk. Norm sighted woodcocks at Baker Bridge Fields\, North
  earlier this week and we are hoping to witness the "Sky Dance\," which is
  a spectacular courtship display performed by the male woodcock. Woodcocks
  migrate from southern states and some will stay in Lincoln until fall\, w
 hile others will continue further north.\n\nThe courtship display occurs s
 hortly after sunset when the air is clear\, calm and warm\, which we are h
 oping will be Friday evening. Additionally\, listen for spring peepers and
  other early sounds of spring while in the fields.\n\nFree. Open to all. (
 Not recommended for young children. No dogs\, please.)\n\nPark and meet in
  the dirt lot at The Food Project off of Rt. 126.\n\nChoose appropriate cl
 othing for weather and footwear for wet ground conditions. Please bring bi
 noculars\, if you have them!
