Butterfly Weed (Asclepias tuberosa): Bushy, 1-3’ tall perennial with large, flat-topped clusters of bright, showy orange flowers that grow 2-5” across with stiff, dark green foliage. Attracts butterflies, and even though it is part of the milkweed family, it does not contain milky sap. Requires sun, and well-drained, even dry soil. Blooms May-Sept, attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, larval host to Grey Hairstreak and Monarch butterflies. 1-quart, $5.
