Northern Bush Honeysuckle

Northern Bush Honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera): These long blooming bushes are rugged and their nectar (June-August) attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Exfoliating bark reveals orange inner bark, and leaves turn red in autumn. Fragrant, small, bell-shaped flowers are yellow-green at first, becoming orange or purplish red. They require sun to part shade, and moist to dry soil. They grow to a height of 2-4 ft and spread 2-5 ft. 3-gal, $25.
