LLCT is hosting a family-friendly, live animal program with a naturalist from Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary. Meet three commonly seen Lincoln animals: a mammal, a reptile, and a raptor. Observe these native creatures, and learn about their adaptations, habitats, and interrelationships with each other, humans, and the environment.
Plus, each participant will be given a brand-new publication by the LLCT called, “Wild About Lincoln: An Introduction to Familiar Species”! This pocket naturalist guide is a unique learning tool that identifies species found commonly in Lincoln in a format that is easy for both children and adults to use. The guide shows familiar species for each of the following categories: birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, insects and invertebrates, butterflies and moths, trees and shrubs, wildflowers, and lichens and fungi.
Afterward, enjoy a cold summer treat!
Free. Family-friendly. All are welcome. Parking is plentiful.
