Join LLCT and Ron McAdow for the first winter zoom of the season! Ron will be sharing his slide presentation on Well Meadow, a pristine wetland near Fairhaven Bay on Lincoln’s western boundary. Well Meadow was a frequent destination for Henry David Thoreau. Ron’s trail camera monitors traffic on a beaver dam that crosses the swamp. He’ll share images and videos of the many animals that use this beaver dam as a bridge, including mink, otter, and bobcat. Ron will also reference some of Thoreau’s observations of Well Meadow.
Ron McAdow is the author of The Concord, Sudbury, and Assabet Rivers, Emerson’s Nature, Concord Village, and other books. He served for a decade as Executive Director of Sudbury Valley Trustees. His Adult and Community Education course offerings include Emerson, Shakespeare, and the Art of Being a Person.
This is a free zoom program. Open to the public. Registration is required.
