Please join Mothers Out Front Lincoln, the Green Energy Committee, Lincoln Democrats and others for our first Project Drawdown gathering to hear Professor William Moomaw of Tufts University, a scholar, policy maker and environmental activist with decades of experience. We will start with a brief film about Drawdown, “the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.” We will then have opportunity to hear Prof. Moomaw’s reflections on how actions in our homes and in our community can make a difference in addressing climate change.
An engaging speaker, Moomaw is a lead scientist/author of the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and serves on the boards of directors of The Nature Conservancy of Massachusetts, the Consensus Building Institute, and Earthwatch Institute. Most recently he was at the UN Headquarters for the Youth Climate Action Summit.
