Spotting monarchs is a favorite pastime in summer! Ever wonder about the life cycle and ecology of these charismatic butterflies? Join LLCT and Kristin Steinmetz for a virtual program (via Zoom) to learn more. Kristin will cover information about milkweed plant species and how to collect seed, as well as citizen science opportunities and resources. She’ll also provide an update on the status of monarchs in our area this year!

Kristin Steinmetz is the Education Coordinator at Mass Audubon’s Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary where she has the joy of sharing nature with all ages. A monarch enthusiast, Kristin participates in several monarch citizen science projects, grows milkweed and happily shares the seeds, and never tires of learning more about the monarch life cycle, ecology and conservation.
